I haven't posted in forever. I know. More is coming, but for now: a game!

I'm stealing this from Tim, who I steal many post ideas from. He steals them too, so I don't feel too bad.

Here's how it works, I'm going to put my iPod on shuffle of everything, and quote a line or 2 of lyrics from the first 25 songs that come up. I'll skip instrumentals, of course, as well as comedy routines, and other non-music stuff. You can guess the artist and/or song name. This will be difficult, becaues my iPod is chocked full of obscure/local music as well as tons of my own stuff. But hey, why not?
Here goes!

1. Suddenly I can see the lesson you have learned so clearly. You have betrayed me but now at least you'll know me through your tears.

2. Should I have believed I was still a boy Naive and sane, protected wholly Tongue-tied and restless

3. I woke the same as any other day except a voice was in my head. It said 'seize the day, pull the trigger, drop the blade and watch the rolling heads'

4. Higher, she can keep you loaded, feeding you whiskey and wine. Fire, the Devil's on the phone, he laughs and says you're doin' just fine. In that big book of names, I wanna go down in flames, seein's how I'm goin' down.

5. Sometimes you can smile, try and hide the pain, sometimes you can capture misery. Sometimes you can feel, there's nothing left that's real, but any time you can turn around and walk the road with me.

6. They scream from dark halls and disappear. They tell me I am not alone. They spill their poison words in my ear. The children gathered on my throne.

7. Help me get my pants on, and my shoes that I can dance on. I'm lying in the front lawn and I'm naked!

8. Visions of the twilight kingdom
Honey you are wearing your symptoms well, this time
So cut loose the ineffective Angel of Mercy
She's only in your mind

9. It's just another day in paradise
As you stumble to your bed
You'd give anything to silence
Those voices ringing in your head

10. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.

11. Thanks to that Rutherford man, I can see my particles and sub-particles, sub-sub-particles, sub-sub-sub particles. Alpha, Beta, gama rays from the sun, they just give that extra groove to everyone.

12.Look at you now, look at you now,
you're put in your place, put in your place,
all, all menacing, all menacing is,
smacked in the face, smacked in the face again.

13. You know what's gonna happen.
He's gonna go down and he's gonna come back again.
Sad I'm gonna die.
Hope it's gonna happen later than I think.
They'll tie me up and send me off
To set me off on someone's lawn

14. We will fight for bovine freedom, and hold our large heads high. We will run free with the buffalo, or die!

15. The mountain is high, the valley is low, and you're confused on which way to go. I've come here to lend you a hand, and take you into the promised land.

16. You wanted to,
Grab a brush and put a little makeup,
You wanted to,
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup,
You wanted to,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
You wanted to

17. Panic in the shakes of the wounded
Panic in the worms
Onto the floor
And out of your mouth
And out of your eyelids
No there’s no light
In the darkest of your furthest reaches

18. You can force it but it will not come
You can taste it but it will not form
You can crush it but it's always here
You can crush it but it's always near
Chasing you home saying
Everything is broken
Everyone is broken

19. All you know is right
Just can't be true
What you feel inside
Just can't come through
When you want to hide
What do you do?
Show 'em the perfect you

20. You would stay just to watch me drowning, wilt away, lies from you. Can't stop the habit, of living on the run, taking love for granted, like you're the only one.

21. And now it is your turn, your turn to hear the stone and then your turn to burn. The stone it calls to you, you can't refuse to do the things it tells you to. And as the screaming fire engine siren fills the air, the evidence will vanish from your charred and smoking chair.

22. Go out in the yard, find your woman. Hit her, huh, that's a wom. Go out in the yard, find your woman. Hit her with a bat that's a wom-bat, whatcha call wombat love! Say it now with feeling baby!

23. No, his mind is not for rent
To any God or government.
Always hopeful, yet discontent,
He knows changes arent permanent,
But change is.

24. Cursum perficio.
Verbum sapienti:
quo plus habent,
eo plus cupiunt.
Post nubila, Phoebus

25. And being alone
is the best way to be.
When I'm by myself it's
the best way to be.
When I'm all alone it's
the best way to be.
When I'm by myself
nobody else can say goodbye.

Ok, so the "shuffle" on my iPod has weird tendencies. It likes to play 2-3 songs by the same band back to back. Not even songs that normally are back-to-back. Wierd. So thanks to weird shuffle, I actually cheated, and skipped some songs so I didn't wind up with more than 2 by any one artist. There are 5 in there from my bands, so good luck identifying those songs. There are at least a few others from indie/lesser known bands and bands that I know personally, so good luck with those, too. I guess this isn't a fair game, huh? But, if anyone guesses them all correctly, I'll send you a CD with all the songs on it. How's that?
