With the cooler weather, we've been able to resume our weekly hikes. I've got a back log to cover, but here's a start.
The Crest Ridge Ecological Preserve is near Crest. This is a place that used to be home sites, but was destroyed during one of the two major fires that have hit the area in the past 6 years. Now there are no homes left, and the land has been donated to the preserve. The trails here are new and aren't yet well defined. We had to stop an volunteer to ask directions. But, it's also not well known and we had the place almost to ourselves.
Here, A ground Squirrel

There are some nice views, and the hikes are generally pretty easy, with not many uphill or downhill parts. Sorry there aren't more photos, but I'll have more as I get back into the swing of things.
