I was having a good time looking through the list of referring websites that have directed traffic to this blog in the past few months. I decided I would list some of the more common and interesting ones, including Google and Yahoo search results.
1. Social Network sites. No surprise that I get a lot of my traffic from my various MySpace and Facebook profiles which link to here.
2. Google search: bloggins mark/Mark Loggins Blog/Bloggins. This is very common. There are a lot of people that need to go ahead and bookmark me, already.
3. Google images results for "Peru", "Inca Masonry", "Machu Picchu" and other results that hit on some of my photos. I hope they were helpful!
4. Jon Tillman and Jen Tillman: Old Boonie pals whose blogs refer to mine. I should return the favor. I'm a bad blog buddy.
5. Google: 3-five-7 blizzard. I chuckled to see someone searched for the first album I ever recorded, with the old Boone folk band, 3-five-7. The album they were searching for is available to the right in my Snocap store, assuming it's working today. There was also a search for "3-five-7" Mitchell. Some body's looking for you, Kelley!
6. Google: Jiffylust. I wonder if they were looking for my old Jazz/Fusion/post-rock band, or the sniglet the band got it's name from.
7. Google: Bob Spelled Backwards. Seeing a trend? It's good to know that someone is interested enough to google my old bands, and current ones. One search was for "Bob Spelled Backwards Kelley". See Kelley? Everyone thinks you're part of the band. Just accept it.
8. Yahoo search: Blog.mark.loggins.com. Seriously, why search when you can just enter that phrase into the address bar and come straight here?
9. Google: great awakening mark loggins/"suzy's six feet under"/Great awakening Suzy/the girl I love is dead. I was amazed to see how many searches for the most "famous" song of my first band, Great Awakening, there were. There were searches for it by title, band, including band members' names, portions of the lyrics, etc. This song is also available in the Snocap store. Both versions!
10. Google: Pugglepoo. Ok, this one just has me perplexed. I've never used that word in any post, and yet at least 10 times folks were referred here by google. I've googled it myself and I don't see my blog come up in the results. It is apparently a breed of tiny little dog. (Note: I finally found it referred to on my blog, in comments left by former regular commenter, Danielle, in this post.)
11. Google: Boone Mall Employment. Lol, I probably scared them off.
12. Google: Magnuson fear and deception. Interesting, someone was searching for a song from the album I recorded with Magnuson. Hopefully, I'll eventually get permission to make that available in my store, as well. There was also a search for Carl Muheim that pointed here.
13. Google: Geico queries. Looks like I got a lot of hits due to my rant on Geico.
14. Interesting, a google image search of "music saves me" brought up a picture on my blog of 3-five-7 performing during our reunion last year.
I can't wait to see how this article further confuses future Google searches.
