In the Marian Bear Memorial Park, I was stunned by how green it was. There is a small creek running through the length of the park, and that is apparently enough to keep this small area a constant oasis in our desert climate. It felt for a moment like being back on the east coast. This is another short, easy hike within San Diego's city limits. It features much greenery, and some less than timid wildlife, as well. Due to the casual nature of our walking this day, I was able to take many photos.

Bugs and Critters:
This little spider cracked me up. I kept walking around him to try to get a side view, and he just kept rotating to face me. He wanted to make sure I stayed in his sight.
The below shot is the biggest Bullfrog I've ever seen in my life. It was bigger than my foot.
So, those of you who are interested in Bird and bug watching, or taking some photos of flowers and plants, this park will give you what you seek. It's also recommended for dog lovers, I guess, since I saw a ton of them.
