We drove through Colorado, and into Utah. We stopped at "Tamarask's Family Restaurant" in the vicinity of Green River, Utah. Yummy. Salad bar and cheese and salsa chicken were devoured. We finally crashed for the night on I-15, near Beaver, Utah, and got to sleep at a decent hour with the intent of finishing off the trip the following day.
Monday morning saw us get our earliest start yet. We had breakfast in Beaver, Utah, then pressed on.
By noon, we were in Las Vegas. It just so happens that my mother was also in Vegas for a trip with her sisters. We stopped at the Venetian, where they were staying, for a quick visit and a quick lunch, then back on the road. I took over driving for the extremely familiar roads between Vegas and Southern California. We were in LA by 6pm, and finally unloaded Reub's car. Reuben was whisked away almost immediately by Holly, so I went ahead and finished off the trip with the short drive back to my apartment in La Mesa. I got home around 9:30pm, and just relaxed for the rest of the evening. I finally unpacked today, and did some nothing. Tomorrow I suppose I'll go back to work and resume normal life.
I already miss being on the road.
